Not an imperial pilsner, the ABV on the can and what is stated on this website suggests otherwise. To be honest, this is more of a German pilsner.
This was poured into a pilsner glass.
The appearance was a beautiful golden yellow transparent color with a semi-thick to rocky foamy white head about two fingers before it gently died off. Speckled lace slid out slightly towards more of a spider web look.
The aroma had a wonder blend of semi-sweet biscuity to bready malts flowing into crisp grassy to floral hops.
The flavor mirrored the aroma sweetly intertwining the malts and the hops enthusiastically. Such a smooth crisp malty aftertaste with grassy hop notes.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied, perhaps just a touch under with a fabulous sessionability. Carbonation felt spot on. An exceptional finish of grassy hops and biscuity malts.
Overall, what a beautiful German pils brewed in collaboration with Bellwoods in Toronto, ONT. Would love to get my hands on another one of these.

Pours a clear golden color with a one inch white head that left nice lacing. Smells and tastes like a classic pilsner with grassy hops, floral notes and malt.
Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, clean, crisp and well made. A solid pilsner.

Poured a straw golden-yellow body with minimal head but some lace patches. Aroma is standard grassy hops and pils malt. Smooth, easy to drink, dry and crisp yet clean and no complaints; not sure why it's an Imperial Pilsner but it's good and worth relaxing with.
