After nearly 7 years of continuously brewing and attempting to refine our hop forward beers, we’ve felt the need to brew one that displays a certain level of almost singular cohesion, without it being about just changing the hop varietals, or just adding more of them. Our aim is to capture a moment in time that coincides with our current and immediate interest in hoppy beers. In short, this limited release is about focusing in on a facet of the beer or process that we’re currently obsessing over… for this one, its all about an elegant but forceful delivery of brighter, fruit forward hop and subtle house ale yeast expression.
For this initial go, we’d been wanting to see what happens with a few process changes we hadn’t yet committed to before – an extended lagering to round out the various edges, dry hop timing and frequency, and various other ideas.
The first of its name shows up in a glowing, yellow golden bodied, bone white headed pour. We find impressions of ripe pineapple, gorgeous mango, green tropical kiwi, and a deep pink grapefruit pulp and rind cleansing bitterness to carry the whole thing home… managing to feel both fluffy-soft and dry, its eminently drinkable, and without a doubt built for consumption. 8% ABV because we have to.

Pours a golden medium hazy with white head. Pineapple is plentiful on the nose. I'm getting pineapple and unripe mango. There's some papaya in there too. There's some bitterness in the form of green onion. This is really good.

The beer pours a nice white foamy head that dissipates at a moderate pace. The beer itself is a hazy and golden yellow that looks very clean and very fancy. You can still sort of see through it but the haze prevents that from happening in exchange for providing a nice looking orange middle.
The smell is delicious. It has a light sweet mango note underneath a stronger but moderate dry-hopped grapefruit smell with a light grassy pine.
The taste is also delicious. The sweet mango and honey taste comes out stronger than the bitter hop notes that come out in the finish. THe hop notes consist of a good dry-hopped grapefruit and grassy pine notes.
The feel is good. It has a medium body with a smooth and solid texture with a light biting carbonation towards the end.
Overall, this is a fantastic DIPA worth a first look and try. It's a shame this couldn't come earlier when it was warmer because it would have been perfect for that weather.

Hazy, murky orange with two fingers of airy, yellowed head. Modest retention and spotty lacing.
Strong pepper in the nose. A little orange behind. Maybe some pear.
Pear and pepper up front in the taste. Hint of citrus. Nice mellow bitterness in the finish.
Relatively light bodied with light carbonation.
Another fine, easy-drinking NEIPA from these guys. The pear quality to the fruit is a bit unique.
