The beer pours a creamy slightly purple creamy head that dissipates quickly but stays on the surface around the inside of the glass. The beer itself is a purplish brown color
The smell is pretty good even if it is pretty simple. It has a good sweet fig note in the middle and followed by an unusually strong wood and funk note. It does not overwhelm but provides an interesting contrast with the fairly sweeter fig and more acidic funk note.
The taste is good. The figs are slightly more subdued but still present. The acidic funk note comes out everywhere and a burnt toffee note at the end is an interesting note to come out.
The feel is good. It is a medium body with tingling carbonation. The acidity is there but it isn't overwhelming.
Overall, a good beer. It isn't super complex but the fig notes make it interesting.
