Served in a mug, it pours a light brown, slightly reddish, murky, with a one-finger head with low retention.

The bouquet is assertive, you get a strong sweetness, which is a balanced mix of both the vanilla and the hazelnut.

Upfront you get the sweetness again from the vanilla and the hazelnut, and just a little bit of malts. The nut flavor is the most prominent, followed closely by the vanilla. The bitterness then barely enters, with just a slight hint of spiciness, and balances the beer.
Smooth, medium to light body, nice carbonation, and a decent length finish.

After the initial pour the beer was actually dark copper and a little clear. Sediments were seen in the bottle, and I had to pour those sediments for it to look as a brown ale. I don't think that this beer is bottle conditioned, it is more likely that those sediments were actually the vanilla extract and the hazelnut essence, which leads me to the next point.
This beer is ok, but I prefer the more naturally occurring vanilla flavor in some stouts or in bourbon barrel-aged beers. The flavors in this beer were so evident that they almost seemed artificial (I thought this of the flavor even before pouring the sediments).

In my opinion this is a little bit overdone.
