355ml can - not entirely sure that this isn't just a rebranding of the regular lager from these guys.
This beer pours a hazy, pale golden yellow colour, with three fingers of puffy, tightly foamy, and bubbly ecru head, which leaves some streaky balloon puppet lace around the glass as it quickly subsides.
It smells of bready, somewhat doughy pale malt, plain earthy yeast, sugary apple and pear, and soft weedy, grassy, and leafy hops. The taste is kind of mealy and weirdly meaty pale grainy malt, neutered drupe fruit, dead yeast cells, and bland earthy, weedy, and floral hops.
The bubbles are pretty sedate, barely a pip or tic to be had for a shekel, the body a so-so medium weight, but fairly pithy and clammy in its amateurish attempt at smoothness. It finishes off-dry, more tainted grainy malt and tepid flora-based hops dancing a dance of the bored.
Yeah, the name of this offering might be just a little too much on the nose - I'm thinking about doing exactly that with the last part of this can. Nothing really worth following up with here, folks, the malt and hops 'crafty', for certain, but with corners that will forever be accused of having an unusually rounded nature.

Had this somewhat by accident and really enjoyed it. I know it was not an expensive brew but there were some very interesting flavours that were not obscured by the can serving. Nice malts and a clean finish, but the real surprise was in the brown sugar/maple sweetness that came through. Unfortunately, I was only given one and would like the chance to try a few more to really taste and ponder the flavours.
