Huge foam in the deep-dish Duvel tulip, and it foams up to the last pour. Cloudy light yellow amber brew is rather attractive with the billows of suds, once it settles down enough to have a sip.
Classic Saison flavors, though a little more yeasty than most examples. Label says it's made with a French yeast and Canadian Pilsner and Rye malts. Flavor is quite lush, with less of the dry Belgian sensation and more of the mellow maltiness. Slight bitter finish.
A classic lighter Saison that's more like a Witbier with an appealing touch of funk. The rye adds an interesting scratchiness to the malt. From the 650 ml botle purchased at the BC Liquor Store in Ladner.
