When Paul asked us to dig back into the brewers log and bring back some of his and the regulars old favorites this porter was a must do. With a dark colour, slightly sweet after tones and a light english hop profile this porter is a great dark beer.

Spinnaker's Brewpub 'Ogden Porter' @ 5.5% , chosen from the seasonal rotation , served from a growler purchased for $13
A-pour is cola brown from the growler to near black in the glass with some ruby red peeking thru a medium size tan head leaving a spotty lace along the pint
S-lightly roasted malts
T-mellow tasting porter , has a slight coffee bitterness on the swallow
MF-ok/good carbonation , weak medium body
Ov-ok/good beer , decent english porter , needs bit more body

I was hoping to find one of there stouts on tap, but instead they had a porter. I actually prefer this style, though I was a little let-down by the english flavour.
A: Deep brown, tan head, very little retention, slight lace.
S: Mild aroma of British hops & biscuity malt.
T: The British hops are the predominant flavour, and I'm simply not a fan. A little nut bread from the malts, good fruityness from the yeast, slight hint of chocolate.
M: Low carbonation, very smooth body, but a little thin.
D: Certainly a sessionable brew, just not my cup of tea.
