One off cask in prep for Robbie Burn's Day from Spinnakers.
Hand pumped with minimal head and a body that is a bit dark (more akin to a Scotch, not a Scottish ale) but still good looking.
Sweet,, smooth rye scent with very very low hops. Big rye whisky on the tongue, very smooth and warming. Almost like a fresh Innis and Gunn. Thin, but still quite smooth. The rye really shines through and almost takes over. It leaves me wanting a second, but you can feel the alcohol in this.
Not sure if this was blended or brewed with Crown Royal, but it comes out of the cask with the Crown already in it.
