This is a light bodied, lightly hopped, straw coloured effervescent Pale Ale with a delicate hop aroma and a balanced, slightly sweet finish.

Based on Spinnaker's original 1984 pale ale. This isn't listed on their website, but seemed to be quite available in bottles. May be a limited edition, or may be a bottle only offering.

Amber-copper with a thin head. Sweet malts, toffee and fresh, yeasty bread. Light, fruity hops. Smooth, rich scent. Very low hops.

Good malty taste, a bit of hop grassiness and bitterness. Light lemony aftertaste. Bready toffee malt flavour. Malts predominate, but this is very well blended and quite pleasant.

Low, natural carbonation. At 4.8%, this makes for a good session ale.
