poured 650ml bottle 2016
black with excessive tan head, tight bubbles, towering over the glass
smell of whiskey-oak, vanilla sweetness, dark roast
taste follows the smells, also some dark fruits, dark chocolate, medium- heavy bitterness
lite carbonation (after all the bubbles dissipated),medium mouthfeel
good beer, but could use sweeter ending (instead of the lasting bitterness)

Bought from the Steamworks Cold Beer & Wine store in Gastown.
Look: Pours very dark brown almost black with a think dark tan head.
Smell: Smell is of roasted malts.
Taste: Mild carbonation with notes of chocolate, intense roasted malt. Suprisingly easy to drink considering the style.
Feel: Very dense and thick.
Overall: A great first start two the barrel aged imp stout style!
