On tap at Steamworks, Gastown.
Appearance: Yellow ochre in colour, with a thin off-white head, leaving a little lacing.
Aroma: Bananas, oranges, wheat.
Taste: Very orangey for a hefeweizen in that it subdues some of the banana flavours, but a lot of cloves come through. The tangy wheat flavour is rewarding, but with an unfortunate nuttiness as the beer warms. The building clove flavour is very good, however.
Mouthfeel: Medium to full bodied, slightly syrupy.
Drinkability: Pretty good so long as you don't take too long to drink it and don't mind the orange overpowering the banana.

A - Cloudy yellow-orange.
S - Spicy citrus, wheat, cloves and a graininess.
T - Impressive flavours in this. Wheaty twang, spiciness, yeast, citrus flavours meld well. Delicious.
M - Light and refreshing. Not too carbonated nor heavy.
D - Very good. Tons of flavour without weighing down the mouthfeel, or being over-the-top.

This is a beer that seems to follow the same house yeast that occured in the rogenweizen and Blitzen. Very fruity and full of interesting finishing notes. I like this beer though it doesn;t taste as banana-like as Hugo's or GI. Plenty of bubblegum nose with a host of fruit notes occuring throughout the finish. Another great beer from Konrad and crew.
