Steamworks Brewpub 'Battleship Double IPA' @ 8.9% , served from a 473 ml can
A-pour is a light gold from the can to a hazy orang/gold in the glass with a medium white head leaving a spotty lace along the spiegelau
S-hoppy (floral) , respectable malt base
T-big , crisp , clean , slight dry finish
MF-ok/decent carbonation , feels full bodied
Ov-not a bad beer , kinda good , even for Steamworks

Poured from a 473ml can.
Well i pretty much agree with Leaddog for a Double IPA this one is lacking the big hop flavors that should be there .
There regular Flagship is much better than this one.
Needs work big time.

Appearance - Pours a clear rusty copper with four fingers of frothy white head.

Smell - earthy, leafy, floral, and grassy hops, caramel, bready malts, hint of orange, and earthy yeast.

Taste - mild earthy, leafy, floral, and grassy hops followed quickly into the caramel, bready malts, and hint of orange. The earthy yeast rounds out the brew.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes slightly sticky with the malts and the mild hops lingering.

Overall - An average DIPA that showcases good malt flavour but the hops are very mild. I wish the hops were more pronounced in this one. A tad disappointing but otherwise an ok-ish DIPA.
