Pours a cloudy, deep golden coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light wheaty malt and citrus/tropical fruit, with notes of grapefruit, lime and mango and honeydew melon. Taste is a great balance of light wheaty malt and fruity hops, with citrus, tropical and lighter stone fruit notes of grapefruit, lime, mango, honeydew melon and apricot, with a very nice underlying lactic acidity. Finishes with a medium acidity and some lime, mango and honeydew melon lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
A very nice Sour IPA that's perfect for the current temperatures, being quite fruity, refreshing and easy-drinking, with a great underlying acidity that quite distinct without going over the top, which really adds a certain fresh zing to this in the finish. There's a great balance of citrus and lighter tropical and stone fruit notes to this as well, which all work together very nicely and really showcase the typical flavor profile of the hops used here, with Motueka perhaps standing out the most with that fresh-squeezed lime feel. Overall, this makes for a very enjoyable, light and refreshing summer beer with a great fruity and acidic character.

Hazy pale yellow-orange straw color. Poured a very tall head that slowly collapsed in firm peaks, leaving a lot of lacing. High flow of tiny bubbles from the bottom of the glass.
Smells of a mix of fruit; some sweet and some tart. Slightly spicy. A light malt base. There is a faint background barnyard. Swirling the glass kicked up a stronger barnyard, but still relatively lights.
Sweet and tart mix of several fruit families. Some citrus, some peach, some melon, and some pear. A more firm sour takes hold after a few seconds. Finally some malt and a light yeast show up to remind you that this is really an ale. The entire flavor mix fades out in the aftertaste, leaving a mild bitter.
Some tongue tingling as it quickly grows to a large bubbled foam. Feels a bit more like a soft drink than a beer. Medium-low body. Very slightly astringent with the aftertaste.
The flavor explosion was not expected. It wasn't an excess of flavor so much as an excess of flavors. You could spend hours tracking down all the fruit flavors hidden in this. However a complete absence of information on the label and the brewer's web site and media feeds made it really hard to figure out the intended style. This could have been a "Fruit and Field Beer", but I'm thinking no fruit was used in the process, leaving my best guess at "Sour - Gose".
