Clear gold-amber color. Poured a short head that dropped down to a patchy skiff in half a minute. Low flow of tiny and medium sized bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Left tiny strings of lace.
Moderate funk smell; just a bit on the sour side. Very light and sweet strawberry; smelled more like a cherry candy than an actual strawberry. The sour smell is slightly fruity; is this the kiwi? Just a hint of light roasted malt. Swirling the glass kicked up a light barnyard for a few seconds. After the barnyard faded, there was a tart fruity smell I couldn't identify; slightly citrus, like a lime.
Sweet and a little tart. Too sweet. Light malt. Very light strawberry and some other fruit flavor I cannot identify. A hint of barnyard and some other funk. Oddly watery. The aftertaste is an odd fruit blend. This slowly fades along with the other flavors. Stays tart the whole time.
Light tongue tingling. Slowly foams up to a fine bubbled foam that is almost creamy for a second on its way to a medium sized bubble. A bit gummy. Somewhat astringent.
I'm obviously not the target market. I can see how this would appeal to someone who doesn't really like beer that much. This one has a very light flavor: somewhat watery and hardly any beer character.
The packaging is weird enough that I ignored this on the shelf at my local liquor store for a couple of months until curiosity got the best of me.
