Hazy tan-grey color. Poured a short head that dropped down to a patchy skiff in half a minute. Medium flow of tiny bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Left a narrow string and a few dots of lace.
Light funky smell. Just a hint of some unidentified fruit and a little sweetness. Swirling the glass kicked up a light barnyard that blended with the funk. Overall there isn't much of a beer smell or in fact much of any smell.
Balanced blend of sweet and sour. Mild light roasted malt. A bit of funk. Light fruit flavor that I can't identify; could be stonefruit, could be watermelon. The aftertaste starts with a stronger fruit that still cannot be identified. More tart than sweet. This fades leaving the malt flavor behind for a few seconds.
Medium tongue tingling. Quickly foams up to large bubbles leaving most of it as liquid. Slightly gummy. Light astringency.
I'm obviously not the target market. I can see how this would appeal to someone who doesn't really like beer that much. This has an indistinct fruit flavor. The malt is quite pleasant, but not enough to carry the beer on its own.
The packaging is weird enough that I ignored this on the shelf at my local liquor store for a couple of months until curiosity got the best of me.
