A very good, but a little middle of the pack brewery. The taproom is really nice, but the beer is pretty average. Not terrible by any means, but not world changing either. Louisville is a little lacking in the beer town game, so this place still rates as one of the better spots in town.

Stop # 458 on my world brewery tour.

Located in the happening Bardstown Road area of Louisville. Lots of stuff going on and not too far from Cumberland Brews. Visited around 5:30 on a Wed night. Happened to be a mixer for a "new to Louisville" young professionals group so the place was absolutely packed. Service good though.

Lobster roll truck out back. Bring any food of your own in.

Initially concerned when I saw ~6 large plastic conicals with no temp control. Ordered a milk stout and English Pale - both of which well done. Talked to one of the owners and they have frankenbrewed a glycol system to cool the plastic fermenters.

Plan on going back tonight when less crowded to try the rest of the beers.

Visited on a Friday afternoon. Beautiful establishment, they have 8 of their own brews and 8 guest taps plus a few bottle/can offerings. No food, but there was a food truck setting up and they welcome outside food.

Helpful, friendly staff, and they do flights of 4 in-house brews for $5. Pints/full glasses reasonably priced.

I went to Great Flood just a few days after they opened. The atmosphere is very social. All of the bartenders, brewers, and owners were out and about amongst the crowds of people offering an ear to their thoughts and opinions on the newest Louisville brewery. There is a generous amount of seating as well as a very unique standing bar, which, made it very easy to begin casual conversation with other beer enthusiasts. Thumbs up to whomever devised that gem. Also, loved the large informal lounge area at the front. The theme is suitable to the name. You will find little tid-bits of history on the great flood of Louisville here and there throughout the facility. I was particularly a fan of the large scale mural and the typography used. Those were both very cool tie-ins. The beer selection was on point for a 2 day old venue. I was not entirely impressed...yet. I will come back soon and reassess when there are more offerings. Prices weren't astonishingly high or low.

Overall: cool people...cool setup...glad to have you in Louisville.
