Drinking this at The Fortnight Brewery in Cary NC.
Poured from a tap into a pint glass.
Looks dark brown almost black with a tannish foamy head and slight lacing.
Smells lightly malty, chocolatey, coffee.
Taste follows the nose nicely.
Mouth feel is medium for the style.
Overall a very nice Irish style Stout.

12 oz can from NC.

Opaque, essentially black body with a tan head that displays poor retention and leaves limited lacing.
Aroma: surprisingly complex, with more spice and dark fruit notes than roasted grain.

Flavor: off, as if some wild yeast seeped into the brewing process; gets worse with warming.

Feel: medium-light body with medium+ carbonation.

Overall: bad batch(?)

A: Pours an opaque yet still clear jet black in color with moderate amounts of fine gentle carbonation along the edges of the glass and moderate dark cola brown + garnet red highlights. The beer has a two finger tall dense foamy dark tan head that slowly reduces to a large patch of mottled thick film covering the entire surface of the beer with a thick ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate to significant amounts of lacing are observed.

S: Moderate aromas of roasted malts with some light hints of chocolate and coffee.

T: Upfront there are slightly less than moderate flavors of roasted malts with some light hints of chocolate and coffee. There is a hint of fruity British yeast (red grape) and a light amount of earthy hops. Light to moderate amounts of roasty bitterness which fades away pretty quickly.

M: Just shy of medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Smooth.

L - Very dark body, pretty thick tan head goes away fast
S - hardly any real aroma, faint coffee
T - Roasted malt flavor, but watered down, off putting slightly sweet aftertaste
F - light mouth feel, low carbonation
O - Not enough flavor/ bad taste, watered down feel, this beer looked good then went downhill from there.
