Up front you will enjoy vibrant/fresh/tangy raspberries. This crisp/clean/bright porter is enhanced by the freshly emptied whiskey barrels from our friends at The Main Street Disillery. Take your time with this porter to pick up finishing notes of dusty cocoa and a hint of dates.

This bottle was infected. It was supposed to be tangy, but was downright sour and nearly undrinkable. I've had other beers from this brewery that were quite good; this one seems to be an outlier.

Pours black with a tan head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of raspberry dominate with underlying alcohol. The taste is almost fully sour raspberries to the detriment of anything else. Hard to tell that the base is beer, let alone porter. There is very minor alcohol burn from the barrel but it doesn't impart much else. The sour berries really take over this beer and don't let anything else come through.
