12oz draft poured into a snifter boasts a deep, almost clear, ruby body and briefly floats a 1/8in cream colored head of small even-ly sized bubbles that disippates to an edge hugging ring. Constant rising bubbles form a curtain of activity. Lacing legs run back to the comfort of the deep.
Aroma is all sweet caramel malt with a hint of toffee and plum, raisin, and prune as it warms.
Flavor is sweet toffee, stone fruit, a hint of smoke, leather, and tobacco.
Mouthfeel is smooth and soft on the pallette, leans heavy, and has a clean finish.
Overall very nice. Enjoy with a cigar and your favorite music under the stars.

Had on tap. Smell and taste are very similar, and both are full and pleasant. Lots of plum, toffee, raisin to go with the typical quad malt work in the smell. Taste has some supporting leather and smoke, but otherwise the same, still dark fruit and toffee major focus. Pours and feels prototypical, with sneaky crispness for style
