Taste: Rich, toasted vanilla beans, sweet, dark chocolate, malts, nutty, creamy smooth finish. Vanilla bean almost coconut, and cocoa nose. Black/brown hue, mostly opaque, nice delicate head with lattice of lace. Nice after dinner stout. 70 IBUs

Thick'n chewy black pour, big cola head collapses to a ring, some lacing. Boogar machine says roasted malts a bit of vanilla, dark fruit and molasses all make an appearance, a pleasant bitter finish. Thick body, nicely carbonated. Damn fine beer!

Served from the can in a Phase Three snifter.
Y'all ever see the movie Chain Letter? No? Good, don't. Anyway, this stuff pours a straight obsidian topped by a finger or so of khaki foam. The nose comprises cocoa power, vanilla bean, and some mild roasted malts. The taste brings in more of the same, the vanilla nicely playing a supporting role, rather than trying to hog the spotlight for itself (as happens so often these days). The body is a hefty medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a nice vanilla stout, nothing entirely outstanding, but definitely something I would reach for again.

12oz bottle. A thin foamy tan head caps a near black body. Aroma is cocoa, vanilla, roast, and booze. Roasted dark malts envelop the palate with cocoa, char, and a hint of anise, vanilla, caramel and earthy hops round out the flavors. Full body, very smooth, alcohol is boozy but not overly, bitter roasty finish with sweeter vanilla and dark cocoa lingering with the bitterness. This was really good, but didn't have anything worthy of making it great in my opinion.

12 ounce bottle into a snifter. Had 12/13/17.
Pours a very dark and opaque brown, with a one and a half inch head and some foamy lacing. Aromas of chocolate, vanilla, malt, raisins, light molasses and smoke, a hint of licorice. The taste is milk chocolate, vanilla, malt, caramel, raisins, cocoa, some molasses. Smooth, a good full body, well carbonated.
A solid effort. The vanilla is the star, as it should be. Very enjoyable and worth a purchase.

12oz bottle poured into a pint glass shows an opaque dark chocolate brown body with a bubbly cola looking edge where small amounts of light filter through.
Aroma is vanilla forward with an almost nutty roasted malt flavor with hints of cocoa and dark chocolate. It is all topped off with an alcohol whiff that, with the vanilla appears like a rum mirage.
Flavors match. Vanilla sweetness with chocolate, cocoa, and again a memory of alcohol.
Mouthfeel is full-leaning medium, not tongue-coating or oily, slightly powdery, and finishes clean with a little warming reminder of abv.
Overall a solid adjunct stout that is a great variation of the base beer.

pretty good for a non - ba stout. good vanilla flavor, little less carbonation and this would be outstanding.

Bottled late 2017; drank 12/17/17 @ the Yarchives.
Black/brown appearance.
A violent pour yielded a huge tan head; frothy lace.
Vanilla, strawberry, mild honeyed grain & faint milk chocolate notes in the nose.
Creamy, medium thick mouthfeel.
Vanilla, milk chocolate & mild strawberry flavors up front; honeyed grain notes on the finish.
Flavorful but a bit too sweet; for a dessert junkie like me this works, but beware if you require more balance.
