This penguin parties. He likes hip hop and his lagers high in ABV. Bird is the word.

16 ounce bottle into a pilsner glass. Had 11/1/17.
Pours a super clear bright yellow, with a two inch fluffy head, some foamy lacing. Active carbonation. Smells of malt, yeast, earthy hops, a little black pepper when warm. A bit of a sweet aroma, lightly floral. The taste is malt, yeast, less bitter hops than the nose, a bit of a floral taste, a little sweet note on the finish. Smooth, creamy, a solid body for the style, well carbonated.
This is a pretty good beer. Flavors well developed, a great body and feel. A very good example of the style.

It’s only a one pint bottle, but the brown paper bag is handy. Poured into a Becker glass it shows a brightly effervescent straw colored body and floats a persistent 1in white head leaving fluffy lacing.
Aroma is all bread malt, and corn, and just like I remember a malt liquor to smell.
Flavor is actually fresh tasting, clean bready malt, and sweet, but just short of cloying.
Mouthfeel is a light leaning effervescent medium leaving a slight sweet malt aftertaste.
Overall a nice example of a style I have mostly avoided for 25 years. A perfect dinner companion for hot stuff chips.
Was 4.5/4.25/4.25/4.5/4.25

New release.
I may have been a little too excited for the original release. The score seems quite high, especially for a style I don't often drink.
New thoughts: little head, but consistent, yet random, lacing. I wouldn't call this bright, but neither is it dull, and even murky.
Aroma is still led by the corn and there is an almost fruity, peach note in smell and flavor.
Now. 4/4.25/4/4/4
Still a fun party.
