750 ml bottle into a goblet. Had 1/11/19.
Pours a medium amber that’s ruby in the light, cloudy, with a quarter inch quickly dissipating head and sparse, spotty cling. Aromas of grape brandy, toffee, some dates, malt, grapes, light plums, light wine, a hint of tobacco. The flavor shifts a little from the aroma- grape brandy, malt, caramel, grapes, light plums and wine, a little cherry. Smooth, a very good medium body, well carbonated.
A great quad that’s enhanced by the excellent grape brandy barrels. Great aromas and flavors, very enjoyable. Well worth a purchase.

Had this on tap at the St Charles Brewery. This is a Belgian-Style Quadrupel Ale aged in Grape Brandy barrels that comes in at 11%. There is definitely some grape present. The smell and the taste both had that grape feel.

Had on tap. Never had something aged in a grape brandy barrel before, but the quad elements are powerful enough to stand up to the grape candy sweetness. Melds well with the dark fruits, especially the plum, some dark chocolate, but mostly a good bit of oak and grape. Body is thin and not as frothy as a normal quad, yeast is present but not powerfully so, resembles more of a wild saison. That being said it is pretty tasty, and the smell, though palpable, is fun. Would have again
