750 ml bottle undated, but bottled in the last two weeks, poured into a tulip glass shows a clear, bubbly, gold colored body. A 1/2in head of soapy bubbles audibly erupted on first pour and withdrew just as quickly. Constantly rising bubbles disappear on the surface and leave a clean glass behind.
Plentiful aromas of fresh stone fruit: apricot, peach, nectarine, mingle with oak and funk.
Flavors match with a crisp, tart, apple, some funkiness and a solid hit of wood and maybe a hint of banana at the end. I was concerned that the sour would be overpowering, that is not the case.
Mouthfeel is crisp and light and finishes clean.
Overall I still need more experience with sour beer and this seems like a good start for me.
