Our favorite party penguin went full blown pastry on us. Reaching into the depths of the pantry, the party penguin traded class for comfort. Brewed with cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and cinnamon, this Imperial Pastry-Style Milk Stout is the epitome of falling off the craft beer deep end, but snickerdoodles and beer are a solid pairing, we guess.

16oz can dated 02/01/19 poured (oozed) into a pint glass shows an opaque dark brown body and floats a 1/4 in cinnamon powder colored foam that quickly dissipates to an island and ring leaving sheets of lacing that cascade back to the body.
Aroma is the winner here. In the aroma alone I can envision a plate of snickerdoodle cookies. Even the feel of the cinnamon sugar dusting on top is easily understood....and then dunk them in booze.
Flavors match with the sweet cookies up front, a cocoa hint and a booze kick at the end to include chest warmth. The sugar, cinnamon, and booze don't quite get along together leaving a bitterness that diminishes my appreciation.
Mouthfeel is creamy, almost thick, and full.
Overall it hits all the notes and the booze slows it's ingestion.
Holy pastry penguin, Batman!

This is a great pastry imperial beer. For a dessert type beer, could not do better. Seems like a pastry and taste like one as well. Will buy again and again.

Had on tap. Smells strongly of cinnamon, cocoa, and booze, indeed like a boozy snickerdoodle. Taste is very strong on the cinnamon and booze, making it a little harsh to drink. Feel has spicy texture combined with malt smoothness. Not the most complex, but solid
