Imperial Milk Stout aged in Bourbon Barrels with Toasted Marshmallow, Peanut, Vanilla Bean, Cocoa Nib, and Sea Salt.

One of our most highly requested beers over the years, we finally gave it a go. We added loads of Toasted Marshmallow to our Imperial Milk Stout with twice the amount of peanut, vanilla bean, cocoa nib, and sea salt that aged in Heaven Hill Bourbon Barrels for 10 months. The result is truly King Sized!

And now in cans.
16oz can dated 12/09/20 oozed into a pint glass shows a gloppy, dark brown body and briefly floats a 1/8" head of brown mixed bubbles leaving a clean cap and glass.

The aroma, of cocoa, peanut butter, vanilla, and bourbon, is intoxicating by itself but the taste holds up its end as well. Cocoa, peanut, and bourbon blend with the vanilla in all its sources. I can't differentiate the vanilla bean, marshmallow, and oak influence, but the combination makes for a perfect dessert beer. It's in the aroma to start, then in the flavor both at the front and back of the palate, and it ghosts above the booze warmth. While vanilla is recognized throughout, it never dominates.

Mouthfeel is rich and creamy, and while there is bourbon aroma, and some warmth, 13.5% should not be this easy to hide.

Overall, my favorite variant in a fine line of milk stouts.

Black with brown speckles and head, it just looks smooth. And to jump to the feel is really is, silky smooth even, good barrel warmth, arbitrary sugar and creamy to the max. Smell and taste are clones: full marshmallow and vanilla ooze into a bourbon chocolate body with accenting peanuts, nougat, graham cracker and caramel, a sweet feast. Given the largeness and abv of the beer, save for a nice dessert, you'll thank me later. The wife liked it

500 ml bottle into a snifter. Had 3/16/19.

Pours a thick looking dark brown, opaque, with not much of a head and some light, speckled cling. Aromas of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, marshmallow, cocoa, malt, some peanuts, light smoke. Smells terrific. Flavors of bourbon, chocolate, malt, sea salt, vanilla, some marshmallow, light peanuts. Smooth for the ABV, a very good full body, well carbonated.

Great barrels, all the add- ins show well for the most part. Very enjoyable, and well worth a purchase.

Had this on 2019-06-24 in Columbia, PA from a 500ml bottle I purchased at the brewery earlier this year.

A - Opaque dark brown with a short brown head, alcohol legs and brief lace.

S - Toasted marshmallow/vanilla, rich chocolate fudge, coffee-mocha latte. Totally decadent.

T - Fudge and semi-sweet chocolate, medium roasted grain, vanilla, light bourbon, mocha latte. Mint and some earthy/herbal spice. Touch of roasted bitterness some some balance to the liqueur sweetness. After it warms I noticed a little alcohol heat, which is no surprise for 13.5%. It just added to the complexity.

M - Medium-heavy body and light carbonation. Sweet but not cloying.

O - Fun size never disappoints and this version took it over the top. Marvelous.

This was absolutely phenomenal! So underrated!! I absolutely loved the vanilla and peanut combo. I'm a big fan of the imperial BA fun size so this was an outstanding variant. MOAR
