Formerly "Lite Reading".
2019 GABF Gold Medal. Our American Lager is brewed with 6 row and 2 row malted barley, midwestern corn, and clear Land of Lincoln water. Simplicity is the peak of civilization. That's that. Stay learned. Do some lite thinking.

Probably one of the better craft easy drinking lagers. 2 GABF medals. Wish they did 6 or 12packs of this tbh.

Poured into tulip glass. Slightly off-clear golden yellow color. Not much hop flavor but lots of corn. Raw and cooked corn kernels, popcorn, kettle corn, cornbread, corn cobs, corn husks, corn pollen, lots of different corn notes. What most AAL's wish they were.

Very pale champagne colored appearance. Nice smells of fresh field and corn husk. Exceptionally quenching and refreshing. It is simple and straightforward and very good. The corn is noticeable but perfectly placed in the mix. This is what any 1970's era macro lager would have dreamed of being. It would have blown Miller and Bud, etc. off the stage in shame. A completely enjoyable lager beer that delivers exactly what is promises. I could drink 3-4 of these fairly quickly and happily. Will buy again. For what is claims to be and what it offers it is perfect: a simple corn adjunct beer with impressive taste.

Had this on tap at Pollyanna's St Charles location. Nice clear look, came in a tall glass. Carbonation bubbles floating to the top made it look like a glass of Champaign. A slight hint of citrus both in the aroma and the taste. Nice and light and crisp.

16oz can dated 12/05/19 poured into a pint glass shows a cloudy, pale, straw yellow body and briefly supports a 1" cap of fluffy white bubbles that dissipates to nothing leaving a clean glass behind.
Aroma is a slightly sour lager malt.
Flavor is clean 'beer' with some fruity/flowery memories, but nothing identifiable. Perfectly named.
Clean, light mouthfeel, if soft.
Overall I expected to see right through a clean, clear, pale yellow body. If it is unfiltered, it does not seem to be an "American Lager". If it is filtered, it is a miss. That said, the flavor is reminiscent of what I expect from an American lager.
*UPDATE 02/2020
Re-branded to Lite Thinking after an IP issue highlighted by their 2019 GABF gold medal.
Also I'm not sure if it was a packaging issue, but now the body is the exact clear, pastel yellow color I originally expected. Rating amended from 2.75 look and 3.5 overall.
