Very interested to try a "hopfenweisse". Cloudy orangey yellow body with two fingers of foam and lacing. Smell indeed has orange, mango and lemon, with light hops and wheat, success! Taste is more muddled, wheat doesn't shine, missing the spices and the hops don't cover enough for it, coconut is present from the sabro though. Tastes like a fruity yet weak ipa, pleasant but doesn't sell me on the experiment. Feel is bright, medium bodied, wet for style, and decent crispness

Labelled as a "hopfenweisse," a German-style wheat ale commonly hopped with more New World hop varieties. Interestingly, the artwork depicts a banana, coconut, and maybe that's a mango, but I don't get much of that at all. Very little ester presence except at the very finish. On the nose is more of a citrus, pineapple, and peach concoction. Wheated notes come in on the palate, but they are subdued by the hops; it's good but not what I'm hoping for when I'm in the mood for a German-style wheat beer.
