We like Altbier, so we brewed another Altbier, but made it even more Sticke! So Sticke, it's Doppelsticke! Sticke to me! A lager/ale hybrid, this big ol' traditional Altbier Doppelsticke is copper-amber in color thanks to German Pilsner, Munich, and Caramunich malts. Worthy of an anniversary, this beer is super smooth with a fresh, firm Noble hop bitterness to balance the light malty sweetness.

thanks to Ken for a fun one to try
L: brown colored bier with a foamy khaki head
S: malty goodness: caramel, grain, brown sugar, toffee, spicy noble hops
T: rye bread, caramelized grain, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, spicy & earthy hops add moderate bitterness
F: full body, sticky & sweet, moderate carbonation, bittersweet finish - maybe too bitter for the style, but I like it
O: I really like this beer - nobody I know is brewing Doppelstickes, so I commend Pollyanna for doing one!

Opaque light chestnut brown with a tan head. Big alt malts with toasted caramel, brown bread, slight dry earth, and huge dark fruit in both smell and taste. The fruit has a sweet edge in the taste that holds it back a little. Still a nice new world attempt. Feel is malty yet light and soft, easy drinking. Paired nicely with belgian stew
