Brewed in collaboration with Goldfinger Brewing and Binny's, this is a less malty and bitter version of a lager in comparison to the Kellerbier. Brewed with German Pilsner, Munich, and Chit, this beer is what we envisioned being consumed in mass after being freshly zwickel'd from the tank. A lighter, but balanced bitterness thanks to Polish Zula, German Hallertau Mittelfruh, and US Magnum, we think this original hazy is something to behold.

Got in a BIF from FBarber. 16 ounce can into willi becher glass. Pours lightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2 finger dense and rocky wheat head. Fantastic head retention, spotty lacing down the glass, some streaming carbonation. Very vibrant nose of German hops. Lemon, lime, pear, apple, cedar, mint, peppercorn, pine, pils malts, herbal, floral, grass. Taste follows with lemon, lime, pear, apple, cedar, mint, peppercorn, citrus rind, pine, cracker, light toast, herbal, floral, grass. Medium pine, rind, herbal, woody bitterness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation and light body. Crisp, clean, refreshing, nearly bone dry finish. Balanced grainy malt and sticky/resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resins on the palate with minimal hop astringency. Perfectly clean lager flavors with no yeasty notes. Amazing showcase of german hops and a clean malt backbone. This has been in my fridge for 3 years and it still tastes fresh! I love this brewery.

Cloudy golden body with a eggshell white head and lacing. Smell features doughy bread, grains, light garden botanicals especially grass, and hay. Taste swaps out dough for biscuit and bready yeast to go with the grass, flowers, and general botanicals, grains and crisp lager malts with a cutting hop kiss round out. Feel is larger on the palate than expected as both the yeast and malt textures loom large, yet still bright and crisp. I enjoyed this a lot, especially on a warmer spring day

16oz can
thanks to Ken for the bier!
L: slightly hazed golden body, fluffy white head
S: doughy malt, grassy/spicy/herbal noble hops
T: follows the nose: doughy & biscuity grain, hops are grassy, herbal, spicy, and earthy
F: medium body, soft carbonation, balanced & dry finish
O: my only complaint is that Ken only gave me one can!

Cloudy light straw colored beer, initial soapy bubbled head gives way to attractive layer of thin white.
Bright aroma, white bread, some spice, little grainy, subtle sweet floral note.
The taste leans very much on malt note from the nose, get the same spice note, with a soft rounded and balanced grainy sweetness.
Drinks very easy, mild bitterness on the finish, just enough dryness to make you want another sip. One of this beers that you drink to fast and look and realize you’ve already drank half the glass.

Canned 3/28/22; drank 4/2/22 @ the Yarchives.
Cloudy dull yellow/orange appearance.
A rough pour yielded a nice eggshell head; a thick curtain of lace.
Sweet corn, mild hay funk & faint banana notes in the nose.
Medium mouthfeel.
Corn, mild hay funk & faint banana flavors.
Rustic and tasty; I'd have another!
