Part of Old's College Student Craft Beer Series.
This one is brewed by Wyatt Langille (2019) from Rosalind, AB.
Appearance - Pours a chestnut brown with three fingers of frothy light brown head.
Smell - earthy and leafy hops, cocoa, milk chocolate, coffee, hint of orange, roasted malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - earthy and leafy hops upfront. The bold notes of cocoa, milk chocolate, and coffee come through next. The orange is there but is lost in translation from the bold notes of cocoa and coffee. The roasted malts and earthy yeast finish off the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes creamy and smooth with the coffee, cocoa, and hint of orange lingering.
Overall - A pleasant milk stout that displays bold notes of cocoa, chocolate, and coffee. The orange needs to be more pronounced but other than that a flavourful brew. Well done Wyatt!
