Tried five beers... All beers I tried had no body. Tasted as if flavor strained through water.... Blah, very forgettable.

V-Blue Spruce is located in the south Denver suburbs. It has a bar and grill type feel in the medium sized space. Patios looked nice but it was raining when I visited. The bar is pretty big for the room with about 18 or 20 stools. A big communal table dominates the seating area. It was pretty mellow when I dropped in on a Saturday early evening with the hockey playoffs on the bar tvs.
Q-I tried three beers, a Red IPA, a chili beer, and a brown. The brown was pretty solid, the Red IPA was average, and the chili was decent. All had solid mouthfeel and felt well-constructed.
Ser-The bar tender was friendly and offered some good advice on the beers. The glassware was appropriate to the style and clean. Service was maybe a touch inattentive, but nothing serious.
Sel-Blue Spruce had about 10 beers on tap (no guest taps that I saw). They were out of the regular IPA, but they had a white IPA and red IPA, as well as a good selection of other summer-appropriate beers. I did not see a stout, but they had a porter and the brown was pretty dark too. Nothing too experimental going here.
F-I had a bavarian pretzel and it was merely OK.
O-A nice place to hang out in the burbs or maybe a place to pick up some family friendly dinner. The tamer lineup of beers mean this place might be a good place to introduce craft beer to non-craft people.

The beer was good. Nice variety in styles. The food was great. They had $2 street tacos on Thursday. These tacos were filled and very satisfying.

new spot down on county line. once a beer wasteland, now a booming scene with a ton of little taproom booming up. loud and jiving front room, loaded with folks on a thursday evening, with an awful echo but a good vibe, wood themed, very colorado. the back was an oasis for us, semi-outside, with windows facing north and a lot more space and quiet, comfortable to sit and play cards and have a few. several beers on, maybe eight, with maybe that many guest beers too. brewhouse is small and compact. the beers of theirs were pretty solid, decent but not amazing. the double ipa was genius, while the base ipa was downright terrible. a real miss. other beers fell in between those two, but the real winner here was the kitchen crew. chicken wings were the best ive had in ages, well cooked and dressed in home made sauce. street tacos were only 2 bucks, which was awesome, and super delicious, all done from scratch with a few different salsas. i would go back for the food over the beer, it was great. friendly service, a little goofy, but a nice guy. overall a cool place, these are the ones you like to see succeed. i wager they will based on the food alone, it was awesome!

This is a great little place around the corner from me, I have been there multiple times and really enjoy the beers and the food, last night I had some of the Mexican food and it was very good, no screwing around with the portions in the burritos, Steak or Chicken, I really enjoyed the IIPA one of the better ones I have had period, too bad it went out on the opening day, I am told it will be back on within the next week or so, a few of the beers are under carbonated but I am told they are working to resolve this issue but per the BJCP all of the beers are right on, go and check it out and you will enjoy it.
