another really good ipa from these guys, a little less dramatic and distinct than the hand drill, but also showcasing that experimental hop really nicely. this one is a lot more balanced, but just as drinkable. a light brass hue to an otherwise clear and pale brew, sitting on top is an inch and a half of airy white almost soda sized bubble head, with great retention and spiderweb lacing as it drinks. an aroma of citrusy hops, fresh grapefruit without the bitterness, and those little easy to peel oranges, clementines, that i eat for breakfast by than handful. in the flavor the hops are balanced out a bit more than in the nose, with a biscuity cereal profile that both dials back bitterness and brings out the orange characteristics really well. the beer has a lighter body than it seems like it should, and a lot of carbonation/ an easy drinking and refreshing ipa all told, with a hard to describe hop profile that is neither fruity or bitter or grassy or piney or any of the tired but accurate enough descriptors. i like beer that makes me think, and i like enjoying it in good company, and you can get both of those at creede.
