Can bought in Hawaii enjoyed at home.
Mostly clear deep gold color with a good sized frothy white head that persists. Bready crackery maltiness with earthy citrus and a hint of butterscotch. Pretty nice brew.

In tandem with Pink Boots Society, Honolulu Beerworks kicks it old school with a classic American Pale Ale with some modern hop upgrades.
Pouring golden-amber and shedding a frothy shield of foam, Pussy Grabs Back reels in the nose with a perfume of citrus, light tropical, spruce and herbs. As its classic taste of caramel and honey gravitate onto the tongue, hints of toasted graham cracker come to mind.
Then the hops grow on the middle palate and rival the drying grain sweetness with blossoming pink grapefruit, orange and a milder suggestions of lemon. Hints of pineapple and apricot bring about fruity complexity white the ale trends in a crisp and malty direction. Moderately bitter, the ale finishes with a shift toward fresh cut grass, fresh spruce and botanical herb.
Medium bodied, the session finishes malty-dry and with a fairly even-keel bitter-sweet balance- ideally suited for the classic American taste that put U.S. craft beer on the map.

Having this one on draught on Kauai Island.
Pours up with a head that dissipates into a ring of foam that leaves some decent lacing initially, but dissipates before long.
Color is burnt orange slightly hazy. Flavor is a little malty, citrusy, mildly tangy, subtly tart.
A pleasant mild bitterness lingers.
An enjoyable APA.

From the Hawaiian style can, it pours a slightly hazy amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces and leaves lacing. The nose gets a nice citrus scent with piney notes. The mouth follows with a mildly bitter slightly malty brew with a very mild aftertaste.

PUSSY GRABS BACK ;) ;) canned something 6,8,9? 5 22 poured a two finger head kind of cloudy apple juice color. Has suspension and sediment. The aroma is mostly light of pineapple, citrus, fresh and fruity. Taste is very good. The sweet malt brings out the fruity citrus flavors. Not very bitter but enough. The mouthfeel is nice to me because the sweetness is what lingers. Overall I'd like these again. My buddy brought them back from Honolulu. I saw them looking for DOUBLE OVERHEAD DOUBLE. Told my buddy if he saw those to grab 'em. 12/26/2022 Nice conversation piece.
