For this second version we've brewed a beastly 8.3% Belgian Quad. With rum soaked raisin, roasted figs and brown cartelized brown sugar aromas. Malty sweetness is followed by bittersweet cocoa. Vanilla, macerated cherries and currants, finishing with dark toasted bread notes.

Bought a 4-pack 12oz cans $9.90 direct from brewery. Not a beer they normally can, but during Covid shut down they have started to can beers that you normally have to go to their bar to have.
Smell of rum alcohol
Dark brown/black color
Medium-heavy mouthfeel
Light carbonation
Taste of sweet raisins, figs, molasses, some alcohol taste, overall a sweet flavor
Overall not bad as a beer, but not in the same class as most Belgian beers I've had. The higher ABV s coming from the run soaked raisins as opposed to natural fermentation and you can taste that. Not much complexity to it.
