Dessert for your desert island.
Fudge and Saigon Cinnamon meld with a little bit of Hazelnut goodness, to produce something we liken to a cookie in beer form.

Kinda sticky. Feels roasted. Not an easy drink.

Poured from a 12-ounce can into a snifter. Deep blackish-brown in color, with a center pour yielding a finger of tan head. Brewed with hazelnut, cinnamon, cacao nibs, and... love?? It's well crafted, for sure. I've been hanging onto this one for a while, and the flavors are still vibrant without being too overpowering. I decided to kick up the hazelnut a bit with a wee dram of Frangelico, which also kicked up the booziness factor. Big flavors of char, chocolate, and cinnamon, with good bourbon barrel character. A little sweet, reminiscent of a decadent home-baked pastry. Desert island dessert, yes; however, it'd be more at home by the fire pit on a crisp Iowa fall evening. Another fine beer from a stellar Iowa brewery, highly recommended.

Aroma is cinnamon, chocolate and hazelnuts/candy bar. The flavor is nuts/hazelnuts, dark malts and a cinnamon/toffee/chocolate candy bar finish.

This is a great beer. Wish is was a litte heavier but it makes up for it with the smell of hazelnuts, cinnamon and choclate. Great colored head on the beer. Tastes exactly as advertised which is very important to me.

Just as it says this is Home Baked. Wonderful nose of chocolate and cinnamon cookie fresh from the oven. A bit thin for what is envisioned up front, but nonetheless a delicious full bodied beer from start to finish. A nice barrel touch to help finish it off and bring you back for more. Was fortunate enough to get a couple tulips on tap and a take-home growler; unfortunately missed out on the limited cans. Sure hope this comes around again next year.
