Pronounced "Tuh-MAH-vee LAY-zahk" which means "Dark Lager" in Czech. Not necessarily the antithesis to our iconic Živá Voda Czech Pilsner, but a nod to the Dark Czech Lagers that don't get enough love from American Craft beer brewers or drinkers. But quaff one pint and you will see why they deserve all the love you can give them.

Poured from 12-ounce can into a proper seidel. Dark coffee-colored pour, with an aggressive center pour yielding a thick three-finger tan head. Good retention, with some spotty lacing. Roasty malt front and center, with hinds of black bread, dark caramel, and dried fruit. Good carbonation, with some spicy bitterness lingering on the palate. Finish is crisp, with a touch of astringence. Excellent and satisfying sipper and a great food beer. Na zdraví!

Got at Wall to Wall in West Des Moines, Iowa. 12 Oz can. Poured into glass with average head, smells of chocolate and roasted nuts? Taste was a little more bitter than expected, can taste the aromas, but was very smooth. Would drink again, was not the best ever but pretty solid.
