This is my second trip to the Buckner Brewing Company and Restraunt. The Buckner Porter has a good dark color but failed to deliver on the taste. I am use to Porters having more malt, chocolate or coffee taste. This brew had a high hops taste with little carbination and reminded me more of an IPA than a Porter.

Pours a clear, dark brown color. 2/3 inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of hops, sweet malt, slight oatmeal, and slight grain. Fits the style of an American Porter. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. Tastes of slight hops, slight sweet malt, and slight grain. Ovearll, good appearance and blend, but those are the best qualities.
