Copenhagen 29/5 2021. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Ghost Brewing's usual design with a dark grey label with a purple G and silver lettering.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big dark beige hed. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Very moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with light sweet malty odor mingling with strong smell of peat and saltiness. Smoked peat, licorice. Compost and cured leather. Sourishly bitter odor peeking in. Sharp dark alcohol.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, viscous, lightly tingling texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sharp boozy edge from the whisky. Lingering. Finish is dry and bitter.
Smoky, peaty and salty. Like a Sottish seaside.

Shared bottle at Bryne tasting. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma of roast malts, brown seaweed, iodine, peat smoke. Peaty and roasty flavour, not quite my cup of tea.
