Copenhagen 29/1 2021. 33 cl bottle from Meny, Borups Allé. Santa looking kind of grumpy with a huge spoon on the label.
Pours opaque, dark brown with a mid-sized light beige head. Settles as 1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Substantial lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a strong, roasted, sweet malty odor mingling with sharp citric notes. Dark roasted malts, caramel, toffee. Grapefruit, citrus.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by an almost as strong, citric bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet and lingers for a while. Finish is semi-dry.
Fine Black IPA combining sweet, roasted maltiness with a citric hippiness.
