Copenhagen 21/5 2020. 37,5 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Ghost's usual design with checkered grey and black background with a green G.
Pours opaque dark brown with a light beige head. Quite stable. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.
Aroma is intense with a strong sweetness supplemented by smoky odor and a boozy edge. Caramel and brown sugar. Peat and wood. Whisky peeking in.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, viscus, oily, greasy, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a boozy undercurrent. Finish has a notable boozy burn.
Quite the boozy bruiser. The whisky is very defining and the alcohol is prominent.
