About 2 years ago we brewed this version of a fierce Imperial Stout.
About 3 months in steel tanks, 15 months in different versions of barrels from Stauning Whiskey, and then aged 6 months in bottle.

Copenhagen 29/4 2021. 75 cl bottle from Meny, Rotunden, Hellerup. Ghost Brewing's usual design with a dark grey label with a green G and silver lettering.
Pours opaque dark brown with a big dark beige hed. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam unable to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with light sweet malty odor mingling with more prominent earthy smell and solid infusion of alcohol. Roasted malts, caramel. compost and cured leather. Something potent and sourishly bitter lurking in the background. Sharp dark alcohol.
Light carbonation. Thin, oily, viscous, fat, lightly tingling texture. A little sticky.
Flavor is intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a hard boozy edge from the whisky. Lingering. Finish is dry and bitter.
Quite powerful barrel-boozer.
