Our unparalleled Belgian wheat beer is brewed with local ingredients in accordance with our long-held family principles. Limburgse Original is unfiltered for remarkably vivid flavor. A robust white beer should be cloudy. Unfiltered for an unbridled flavor and finish. No extra fuss, simply delicious with its flavorsome touches of coriander and orange.

Copenhagen 26/4 2020. 25 cl slim bottle from Belgisk Bryg, Emdrup Mosevej, Kbh. NV. White label with a stripe across from left down to right. Logo is roaring lion with a shield for body (!).

Pours hazy, pale yellow with a small white head. A bit bubbly. Settles as thin patch of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. No lacing.

Aroma is medium intense with a sweetish, lemonade-ish odor of wheat malts and a candy-like quality. Sweet oranges, cloves and hints of coriander. White sugar. Light tart odor of citrus.

Fairly strong carbonation. Thin, watery, lively, tingling texture.

Flavor is medium intense with a strong, fresh sweetness followed by a lighter tart sourness. Aftertaste is sweet-ish. Lingers shortly. Semi-dry finish.

Does pretty much what I would expect of a Belgian Wit. No more, no less.

Unfiltered gold body under a large, fleeting, white head. Spicy, citrussy aroma stands out thanks to a solid dose of coriander. Moderately tart taste brings out the citrus along with some herbal hops. Dry finish with little bitterness. Light-to- medium bodied, modestly carbonated mouthfeel.

30ml. bottle in Vientiane, Laos. Pours a cloudy pale gold with a fluffy white head that lingers. Aroma of wheat and coriander. Slightly sour and spicy with coriander and light fruit to taste. Light but lively and refreshing. Rather impressed with this witbier.

Pours a hazy and very pale straw color with a short lived white head which turns to lacing. Nose and taste have hints of banana and orange along with mild spice (coriander?). This one has artificial sweetener in it...which is interesting and a little off putting coz you can taste it. Weird one!

Can, bb in 5m.

Looks like a witbier, of the light kind, foam typical. So far, so good.

Drive-by is pure orange peel... pleasant but a bit lacking in spiciness. Nose does not expand this at all.. no chamomile, little coriander.

Taste continues the orange..what is refreshing at first, gets boring. There is some requisite coriander. But instead of the raw grain silky mouthfeel from an adjunct mash and the note of raw wheat, there is too much sweetness, apparently trying to approximate the real thing. Spice is too subdued. Starts to feel like a well made version for those who look for an alternative to lemonade. Probably has commercial appeal, but not worthwhile for serious witbier afcionados.

Well done as such, even when cutting corners for this technically very hard style.
