Clearish dark amber, very little head. Not very much on the nose. Malty with a touch of fruit and smoke, but not super flavorful...which is good and bad, as I sometimes get overwhelmed with the in-your-face malt&peat-bombs that Scotch ales and wee heavies tend to be. This one was pretty mild, and in that sense, pretty drinkable. Just kind of bland overall.
