Pours an amberish brown with an off white head. Aroma shows itself to be the malt forward beer that it is with hits of toffee, candied sugar, a touch of nuttiness. Perhaps there was a touch of hops in there in the way of florals but it was hidden behind the wall of malt. Flavor followed suit. A medium bodied, slightly active, creamy mouthfeel. Overall, good for what it is meant to be. That said, what its is simple and not all that interesting. Geared for the gateway craft drinking crowd I would think. Maybe an attempt at having their version of Fat Tire, a malt forward brew on the sweeter end of the spectrum.
