i am now quite convinced that i am never going to have a bad beer from these guys, it seems like whatever they are making, its always good, and they have really earned my trust and respect over the years with high quality beers across a lot of styles. this one was somebodys homebrew scaled up apparently, and its a very classic marzen, fitting for the season and predictably well made by these guys. clearish copper colored beer with a nice shine and a small white head, the aroma has a toasted element to it from the grain, a classic european lager yeast quality, and a nice autumnal earthiness, its attractive in is simplicity, and not as sweet smelling as many others. the flavor is solid, balanced between the bready malts and the crisp lager yeast, some minerals, pretzel dough, bread crusts, and light caramel, but dry as it goes down and with less body than i am used to in the style too, this is really easy drinking stuff, even without the most robust carbonation in the world. excellent example of the style, right on for this time of year!

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
