A: hazy; copper colored; 1 finger pillowy white head that receded to a thick ring; moderate lacing;

After 10 years in Marin County, drinking Lagunitas, Racer 5, Boont, Marin BrewCo and other heavy duty IPAs, I thought I had to contend with high ABV to get good taste. How surprised was I to find DuVig! Their Proper Pale, as I call it, delivers all the taste you could want in a Pale Ale (or and IPA for that matter) with a third less alcohol. More toasty, citrus, fragrant flavor with less buzz - I'll take it. When they have this on at DuVig - run dont walk. But leave some for me!

Had at the brewery during a tasting. Was a light golden color like the cream ale, but had a nice aroma of herbal grassy hops on top. Taste was pretty clean, started with those sweet cracker malts and there was a nice lemon and grassy hop note in the back. About 50/50 malts and hops, but not enough hops to have me coming back for more.
