Had at the brewery over the weekend served in a mug. Comes out a very cloudy straw/flax color with a small white head that doesn't leave much lacing, per the style.
Smell is sweet, tart, bit of grain, hint of lemon. Taste wise this is fantastic, very tart in the beginning, some grain and sweet malt in the middle, touch of lemon, finishes with a persistent tart note that just won't quit.
Benchmark for the style, and this year's batch is really well made. The ultimate summer thirst quencher.

Im sampling this cold growler poured into a pint glass. Didnt have a proper glass due to not being at home, but this works.
The beer pours a cloudy straw color with fizzy bleached white head foaming up several cm even with a gentle pour. Quite a lot of fizz on this one.
aroma is some grainy malt and a bit of acidic notes with vinegar dominant. There isnt any hops to be found on the nose. Maybe a little lemon rind mixed in the scent.
Flavor is grain for an instant and then all tartness that coats my palate immediately and puckers my lips on each sip. Lemon juice and grapefruit mixing with some apple cider vinegar. the carbonation is lighter than anticipated and the body is light and crisp. No hints of booze or hops. the beer goes down smooth but does lead to a little acid stomach towards the end of the growler.
This is a well made beer of an underutilized style. Not for everyone though, my brother turned down a second glass!
Glad to see another new beer from a great session beer brewery

Wow! Sour and wets that whistle on a hot summer day! Pale and Cloudy as expected for a Berliner Weisse style of beer and oh so sour. The best description would be like what you expect a Grapefruit Shandy to taste like.
At the brewery they said it had a slow start but really took off, I sincerely hope this means that we'll be seeing it again next summer. It is still available at some of the local restaurants and pubs.
