Sampling a cool 12 oz can poured into my weisse glass. The beer pours a surprisingly clear color with some sediment at the end creating some cloudiness. There are several streams of carbonation rising to the surface. A very fizzy bleached white head of 4 cm foams up and fades rapidly as the foam gets pockmarked with craters. The foam is completely gone in just a few minutes. The aroma is some bready yeast and some banana mixing with a bit of biscuity cracker malt. No hops on the nose.
The first sip reveals a light body with crisp texture and very sharp fizzy carbonation. easy drinking physical traits on this beer.
THe flavor is similar to the nose advertisements with some biscuity malts a bit of bready or scone like yeast hit and some sweet banana on the finish. I enjoy this beer and am glad to have a good hefe available for the summer months. Ill be sure to track this down each year as it gets warmer outside.

Re-review on 8/1: Flavor has way more of the classic hefeweizen yeast flavor now with this batch. More cloudy and banana phenols, nice spice in the middle of the palate. Overall a solid improvement, +0.25 in aroma, flavor, and overall.

Had at the brewery today in the can-shaped glass. Pours a hazy straw color with a small head, some lacing. Aroma of biscuit malts and a touch of yeast, clean, with some banana esters. The flavor is light, a bit watery, the wheat gives it some tang. The yeast mostly give off some lemon flavors and the faintest hint of clove at the back end. Finishes a bit wet and is super light. Overall it's a very refreshing brew for the summer but falls a bit short in yeast flavor to be a true German Hefeweizen. If you review this as a pale wheat ale I think it hits the mark.
