Poured bottle #37 into a wine glass, pours a rust color, pretty cloudy, with a small head that fades, as per the style. Really nice aroma on this, complex. Sweet, very tart, hints of wine grape and oak barrel. The flavor is an initial blast of sour tang, this is followed by a strong wine note, very much like rosé, a touch of funkiness and vinegar at the end and residual tartness. Super light body but not too thin or watery, low ABV. Somewhat dry with a strong carbonation across the tongue. Really nice beer for the early autumn season. Very well crafted and an original idea!

Sampling a cellar temp 22 oz bottle poured into a snifter. The beer is a cloudy goldenrod hue with a fizzy bleached white head of 2 cm that fades quickly to a thin edge layer around my glass.
The aroma is interesting, the mix of the lactic tartness and some rich vinous notes is very appealing and intriguing as I breathe in the aroma. Some rich wooden notes are mixed in the background as well.
First sip reveals a crisp texture with a lighter body and VERY fine carbonation that tingles across my palate. Nice feel on this beer.
The flavor is pretty tart at the start an I do get a little grape flavor mixed in the middle but a dry acidic finish takes over on teh swallow. A little bit of vinegary notes. No hops or booze as expected for the style.
Im enjoying this interesting take on the style with the barrel aging addition making the aroma more complex and just a bit of additions to the flavor. Glad I got a chance to try this one. thanks to Dan, Scott, Darcy and Kim at DuVig for the opportunity!
