A: crystal clear; deep amber in color; less than a 1 finger light tan head that receded quickly to a thin collar; no lacing;
S: sweet malt;
T: follows the nose from start to finish; a bit of toast as well; mild bitterness at the end;
M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;
O: OK, but not a great example of the style;

Acquired a can of this product in a trade and wish I had acquired more than one. I'm not an expert on Vienna Lagers but I can say that this product lives up to its billing on the can as a malty lager featuring a balance between malt sweetness and "noble hops". The malt dominates slightly but the hops are also noticeably present. I think this is a brew that would be welcome during any month of the year. My only regret is that Duvig does not currently distribute in NH but I'll be looking for this Lager on any future trips to CT.

Had on Friday at the brewery into a can glass. Vienna Lager comes out looking like... a Vienna lager! Nice coppery color with orange highlights, clear as glass, nice foamy two finger head that eventually dies down.
Pretty gentle aroma on this, some malt sweetness and a hint of grain, little bit of caramel. Taste is really smooth and right on the money, caramel malts upfront, touch of grain flavor, bit of lager yeast in the end with a clean bitterness. Light body in the stomach, refreshing carbonation, and leaning towards dry mouthfeel.
Expertly put together for a Vienna lager, definitely more malty than hoppy, but I like it. Even in the summer this was very drinkable.
